Friday evening was a very special night for the crew of Fort Worth Funky. We tell stories about things we love in Fort Worth because we believe they’re significant, and worth telling. By day we create beautiful corporate videos and photos under the name Make Something Beautiful. When dusk falls over the city, we don capes and masks and become Fort Worth Funky.
Authentic storytelling is important to us, and Friday night we had unexpected validation that our stories resonate with others in a powerful way. Friday evening in Fort Worth, the American Advertising Awards were handed out to recognize creative excellence.
Fort Worth Funky received 4 awards that night, a silver, two golds, and a best of show.
In the category of “Webisodes”, we were awarded a Silver for Lola’s Saloon.
In the category of “Color Photography”, we were awarded a Gold for Hip Pocket Theatre.
In the category of “Webisodes”, we were awarded a Gold for Hip Pocket Theatre.
And last, but most significantly, we were awarded a Best of Show Video for Hip Pocket Theatre.
We’re honored to have a project that we feel so passionate about recognized by such a group of creatives. It means a lot to us. We’re definitely grateful for the awards, and even more grateful for the people that have allowed us to tell their stories, and have become our friends.
